MISSION STATEMENT
Arborbotics strives to educate about STEM, teamwork, leadership, business, and communication through 21st-century learning to ensure all students at University Preparatory High School and the surrounding community have the opportunity to learn about STEM beyond the standard classroom.
OUR TEAM
Arborbotics is currently participating in our eighth year of the FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC). Our team name and branding stems from our school, University Preparatory High School (UPHS), which is located on the College of the Sequoias campus (COS). As such, we have adopted the Sequoia tree as our symbol for the team. We work to provide an opportunity for students to grow and develop in a real-life work environment, through the FIRST Robotics Competition.
|
OUR SCHOOLUPHS is located in Visalia, California. We are a charter school that encourages students to enroll in college classes alongside their high school curriculum (concurrent enrollment). Our school prepares students for college and other higher level education by allowing us to learn in a college environment.

FIRSTFor Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology, also known as FIRST, is a nonprofit organization that aims to offer students an atmosphere and application through which to learn about STEM, business, and community involvement. FIRST was created in 1989 by Dean Kamen, whose vision was "to transform our culture by creating a world where science and technology are celebrated and where young people dream of becoming science and technology leaders."
