Achievements
These are the biggest achievements we have accomplished as a team and we hope to achieve many more in the future.
ACHIEVEMENTS
Now in our seventh season, Arborbotics is achieving more of our goals as a team. We are excited for our progress in the future as we continue to challenge ourselves.
Teaching Younger StudentsAs our oldest students prepared to graduate from our high school, we wanted to ensure the knowledge they gained through their years of FRC was passed down to younger students. We worked hard to help our newer team members learn from those with the most experience. Now, we've learned the skills of teaching younger members the lessons we've learned in previous years. Our four departments, hardware, programming, electrical, and PR, have learned how to relate specific information to newer students to help them learn.

Made an Impact on the CommunityPart of our team's mission is to further STEM in our local community, specifically in Tulare County, where only about 6% of the population has a bachelor's degree or higher in a STEM related field. We've been trying to accomplish through working with young students in our area. We create workshops in which we make flashlights, wire paper circuits, program LEGO robots, and do other activities to show young kids how rewarding STEM can be. Through targeting the youth in our area, we hope to foster a lifelong interest in STEM.

Won Rookie Inspiration AwardOur team won the Rookie Inspiration Award at our first competition, the Central Valley Regional. As a rookie team, we were very inexperienced with how FIRST competitions work, so we had to learn and adapt along the way.

"Celebrates a rookie team’s outstanding success in advancing respect and appreciation for engineering and engineers, both within their school, as well as in their community." |
Started an FRC Team at our SchoolWe started this team during our first year of robotics, and, after our success with earning the Rookie Inspiration Award, we had an increased amount of interested students willing to participate. We overcame various obstacles such as lack of space, deficient funds, and other challenges to create Arborbotics.
